About Me

Hello! My name is Amy and welcome to A Hobbit’s Tale. I’m so glad you made it.

I am an ecology graduate recently turned student teacher who loves to learn about nature and explore new places. My travels have shown me some of the truly beautiful sights that our lil blue marble has on offer and I don’t think I’ll ever get enough.

They have also allowed me to meet some pretty baller animals such as sea turtles, monitor lizards, a very rude chipmunk and some very bite-y weaver ants. Having grown up in Scotland where there aren’t many animals that can cause harm, I am still learning not to pick up insects and the likes whilst abroad…no matter how cool and colourful they may be.

My travel habit has left me in a perpetual cycle of working, saving, and spending it on going to new and fun places. I am 100% okay with this.

My ideal hang has more trees than people but I have been known to enjoy the occasional city. Up there with some of my favourites are Munich, Amsterdam and Ljubljana. If they have large parks or green areas (or mythical dragons) that’s a bonus!
